The Prophet Micah, who probably discerned the Science of Being more clearly than most of the prophets, sums up the duty of man as follows: "He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" It seems a simple summary to consider, and should be simple enough to follow. But each individual's shortcomings are potent witnesses to the seeming difficulties involved in living a godly life.
“Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" has unlocked the sealed book and given us a spiritual interpretation of the Bible which has illumined its sacred page, and inspired a new era of scientific research in this treasure-house of precious jewels. While Christian Scientists acknowledge the above fact, perhaps some may not be familiar with the following historical incidents in its transmission from the original writing to the present day.

The tenor of the Word shows that the supreme, creative, active power is a perfect God. If we believe and understand the Scriptures we shall know that the terms omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence apply to this infinite creative power; and since we know there can be no creation, expression, or action without intelligence, all will readily admit the synonym of Intelligence, Mind, to be applicable to Deity.

IN giving my testimony for Christian Science I do so with a sense of great gratitude, and I hope these lines will be read by some one who is out of the Ark of Safety but wishes to enter this haven which is open to all. Mine is a simple story, telling how God in His goodness changed my revengeful thoughts; and by drawing closer to the understanding of Him, I became full of love and forgiveness.
