Testimonies of Healing

I give sincere thanks to our Father-Mother God, who led me to find the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Through the study of this textbook I have exchanged the false concept of human will and pressure for the knowledge that I am led by God, eternal Love.

When a very young girl in high school I attended my first Christian Science lecture and instantly recognized the logic and obvious correctness of the truths there presented. My parents had been devoutly religious, and their entire lives were governed by a beautiful faith in and love of God, and I was very grateful to be able to reconcile my natural religious sense with this new presentation of God as divine Principle, Love, Truth, Spirit.

" Freely ye have received, freely give. " For the many wonderful blessings I have received through Christian Science I am sending this testimony, with the hope that someone else may be blessed by reading it.

I am so full of gratitude to God for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought me, especially in the literature established for our daily use by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, that I feel a deep desire to contribute a testimony, hoping it may encourage others to press on, in spite of seeming obstacles in the way. From the age of sixteen, I was discontented and unhappy in my home, as well as in my study of music.

With my sincere wish to express gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done and is doing for me, I give this testimony. I hope that it may in some way help someone along the road to true happiness.

My acquaintance with Christian Science dates back to 1917, when, during the war, I traveled to England to make my home for a time with a Christian Science family. Later, I realized that I had indeed been wonderfully protected on that long voyage by the right thinking which had occupied the thoughts of those awaiting my arrival.

I turned to Christian Science, in earnest, about eight years ago. For several years prior to this time, I had occasionally attended the services of the Christian Science church and had purchased a copy of Science and Health by Mrs.

Out of deep gratitude and a feeling of duty I give this testimony regarding the omnipotent, omnipresent healing power of God, divine Love, as it is revealed to us in Christian Science. From the time I was twelve I had suffered from severe backache and nosebleed, so that I had to have medical aid.

It is with a deep sense of humility that I wish to express my gratitude for the rich blessings Christian Science has brought to me for the past twenty-two years. This Science has proved innumerable times the irresistible power of divine Love to meet and master every false, aggressive mental suggestion of human experience.

In the year 1896 I was healed through Christian Science, and not one of the ailments has ever returned. I had been confined to bed for some time, and had not slept without opiates for several weeks, nor had I been able to take any food without suffering excruciating pain.
