Abundant income

- Practice, Practice, Practice

Recently I had an amazing experience of divine Love’s provision in the purchase of a needed car. But shortly after that, another issue came up: How was I going to afford a gift of a museum pass for the coming year for my grandkids? The museum was expanding and moving to a bigger venue and would have all new exhibits and activities.

I thought about asking other family members to chip in, but that didn’t seem right. I prayed to know that I could trust God’s provision to meet the need. I knew that God’s will for me is all good and only good. In my daily prayer and study, I had been getting a clearer understanding that everything we need is already present. God’s abundance is present and is revealed in ways that we can understand and see tangibly. I could have absolute faith that with God all things are possible (see Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 1). I knew that if this gift was a right idea, it was complete and included the means to pay for it.

The following week I received four unexpected checks, one of which was more than enough to buy the pass for the following year. When I went to make the purchase, I learned that the prices were going to increase the next day for the new venue. I was allowed to purchase at the previous price and was given an extra month because the museum would be closing for a month for training after the move to the new place.
