Demand the best view

- Practice, Practice, Practice

When do we settle for anything less than the best possible view? Probably not often. When at a sporting venue, most people generally try to get the best possible seat to see the game. At the theater, we might pay the most we can in order to get the best seat for viewing the performance. At church, if someone sits in front of us, we might move so we can see better. It is so important to look at things clearly.

In Christian Science, we are taught first to see God clearly, then look to man. This is because the Bible teaches that we are made in the image and likeness of God (see Genesis 1:26, 27), so we must start with God to know ourselves. I have spent many years studying both the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, searching for a clearer understanding of God. Seeking this clearer understanding has always resulted in seeing a better view of man.

While I have had no problem applying this truth to how I view other people, until recently I had never really applied this understanding toward myself.
