No victim, no perpetrator

- Practice, Practice, Practice

My daughter was driving home late one night, and got a flat tire along the way. She called me on her cellphone and woke me to let me know of her situation. As I talked with her, our conversation was interrupted by a man knocking on her car window and asking for directions.

Through the phone I heard the man’s voice and my daughter answering him. Then I heard them struggling and her phone went dead.

I shot out of bed, alerted my wife, and we immediately began to pray the best we knew how. I got dressed and began driving to where I thought our daughter would be. My wife called the police. We both called a Christian Science practitioner, who began to support my daughter and us prayerfully.
