LETTERS FROM THE PEOPLE

From the August 1883 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The following letter to her brother, is from one of our students, member of a class at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College in 1883:—

Somerville, July 18, 1883.
My Dear Brother:—

I feel sure that Christian love will enable you to bear with me while I make my statement in defence of having accepted "Christian Science." Let me go back a little. You remember writing me a long letter, last winter, giving your views at length as to the Master's requirements in our life service. These many years we have been striving to serve God in our daily ministrations, ever searching after Truth; and while holding firm to the foundation Principle, we were willing to gain, step by step, experience and thought in advance, until to-day we are found, I trust, through feeding upon the "sincere milk of the Word," able to take somewhat of the "meat."
