Truth.-" Truth is simple not complex; and when unadulterated is as easily comprehended by the uncultured as the cultured. Its natural course is direct from soul to soul. If it has to pass through the intellect to reach the spirit it takes an indirect road and is never sure to reach its destination pure and clear. It is liable to distortion in passing through that medium just as a ray of light is refracted in passing through water. We take most things at second hand instead of going to the fountain-head. We receive a reflection of that ray from the Sun of Truth which has entered some other man's brain, instead of turning to the great Source and allowing it to shine directly into our own."
