Miss Ada C. Sweet, closed a brilliant address to the graduates of the Woman's Medical College, Chicago, with the words:
"Humbly then, reverently, I bid you enter upon your sublime work—the ministry to humanity. In the alleviation of physical suffering you will not neglect a brave attempt to minister to a mind diseased; pluck from the heart a rooted sorrow, whenever you meet with one who bears such burdens; for you go forth, I feel, persuaded in all womanly tendencies, gentleness, and quiet courage to undertake the tasks that lie before you in the veiled future."
It is doubtful if she realized the opposition those "sweet girl graduates" will encounter if they try to put into actual practice the Christian Science ministrations she advocates.
