Bed-Ridden Thirteen Years

From the October 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The many friends of Miss Emma E. Davis, of Auburn, are much rejoiced to hear of her recovery from a severe illness, which has confined her to her bed for thirteen years, during which time she has been attended by some of our ablest physicians, who have pronounced her case incurable. She is now able to walk  about the house, take long rides, and call upon her friends, and is still improving each day. This wonderful recovery is due to Christian Science, through the instrumentality of Mrs. C. A. Jones, of Portland, Maine, who saw Miss Davis for the first time about six weeks ago.
