Eight years I have had a diseased knee-joint, which has been gradually growing worse, until three years ago, when it very suddenly gave out entirely, since which time I have been on crutches.
The 24th day of September I went to Mrs. Fenn for my first treatment. She told me quietly that day, that I should walk from her house to my carriage. I tried to believe her, but it was difficult to do so; but I found it true. I left my crutches at Mrs. Fenn's, and have not used them since, and am steadily improving.
