The regular monthly meeting of this Association was held on the afternoon of May 5, in the parlors of the Mass. Metaphysical College, 571 Columbus Avenue. Boston, and was attended by a very large representation of members from different cities and states. The usual routine business was transacted, and a very large number of new students admitted to membership. The very interesting remarks of the different members were listened to with that earnestness which betokens a readiness to gather in, and be ever ready to sow, the sped that shall grow to its fulness. Our President, in her expressed thoughts, raised her students, as she always does, to a higher plane of thought, and elevated the standard of their sense of Being to a height that permits no deviation from the path that leads to the understanding of Right and Truth, which bring peace and harmony to all. After the close of the meeting, many lingered to exchange congratulations and pleasant greetings one with the other, and grasp the hand that has led them to walk in this path of Love.
In a recent public address, this clergyman made some disparaging remarks about Christian Science, to which he applied some contemptuous epithets. Rev. Joseph Adams sought an interview with him thereafter, presented his card, and Suggested that Mr. Meredith did not perhaps fully understand Christian Science; but Mr. Meredith waived the subject, concerning which he refused to hear anything further.
This Journal owes an apology to Rev. Joseph Adams for its blunder over two words in his note last month, about a service at Trinity Church. He is made to speak of a victory he has already won over death, when he wrote that he already had, not the reward of victory, but the earnest of victory to come.
