A Valedictory and Introduction

From the September 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In retiring from the management of the Journal, I am pleased that Dr. S. J. Sawyer, C.S.B., formerly of Milwaukee, Wis., will take that position. I am sure that he will do everything possible for the advancement of the Journal and the Cause. With Rev. Wm. I. Gill editor, and Dr. Sawyer manager, we cannot fail of having a very superior magazine presented to us from month to month. I trust that the practitioners in difierent parts of the country, as well as all others interested in Christian Science, will feel that a duty devolves upon them also. We can all assist in the circulation, and in getting subscribers. We can aid very much if we love the Cause as we profess to; and remember this, every effort that we make to present the Truth to others helps ourselves. In Love let us work together for humanity. Let us follow our faithful Teacher's example.
