During the month past the Christian Science Publishing Company has been organized, in fulfillment of a long cherished wish. This Society will have charge of all the publishing business of the Christian Church (Scientist). It has therefore taken control of the Christian Science Journal. It has appointed Rev. Wm. I. Gill, A.M., Editor, Dr. S. J. Sawyer, who is well and favorably known to our readers, Business Manager, Mr. W. H. Bradley, Secretary, and Mr. G. H. Bradford, Treasurer. Mr. Gill has promptly entered on his work, and is responsible for the present number of the Journal. Mrs. Crosse has also remained at her old post awaiting the arrival of the manager elect.
It is but the plainest justice to speak a strong word in praise of Mrs. Crosse for her judicious and self-sacrificing and successful management of the Journal while it has been under her care, contrary to her wishes and worldly interest; and very sincere and grateful is the mention here made of the service which she has rendered.
