A Maine man, while chopping wood, cut a big gash in his boot. Thinking he had cut a gash in his foot also, he sat down and shouted for help. Assistance came, and the man, who was not able to walk, was placed on a sled and hauled home. When he reached there his boot and stocking were cut from his foot, and it was found that the foot was not cut enough to draw blood.
