For the benefit of those who think that we Christian Scientists rely too much upon Science and Health and not enough on the Bible, as our basis or support in healing the sick, I wish to tell of an experience which occurred in my household some time ago.
My little boy went out one morning to hunt squirrels. He did not come to dinner, so we supposed he was still hunting; but late in the afternoon a gentleman found him lying under a tree unconscious, with our pet dog by his side. He aroused him, and found that he talked at random, and could not tell how he came there nor where his gun was.
When they brought him home, it was about sundown, and they said there was evidence that a dead limb had broken with his weight and he had fallen from a great height. He was vomiting severely and could not straighten himself on account of severe internal pain, and his eyes had a glassy look from the intense suffering he seemed to have.
