I love Christian Science more than all else, and my only wish for some time past, has been to devote my whole life to the spreading of this gracious truth that makes us free indeed. The last five years since coming to Science, have been indeed a wonderful revelation to me. I was a member of a church, and ever since I was twelve years of age I had endeavored to live the Christ life, but it was not until I saw Science and Health by Mary Baker G. Eddy and found it a true key to the Scriptures, that the beauty of Jesus' teachings dawned on my thought.
I had been taught that my salvation rested on the death of Jesus, but in the light of Truth, I recognized that it was the divine Principle which he demonstrated that saves mankind from all error. Every day has been a gradual unfolding of this thought, and in our home we have had many really wonderful demonstrations of the power of Truth over error. During the first week after I heard of Science, I emptied out all the medicines and never since have used in our family any material remedies, either internal or external. Time after time we have proved the efficacy of Christian Science, simply through the natural unfolding of truth in our own consciousness. Among troubles overcome have been, whooping cough, convulsions, scarlatina, measles, ulcerated throat, bronchitis, and other serious troubles. When we came to Science our baby boy, two years of age, was declining and seemed gradually slipping away from us, but the dawning of truth on our thought destroyed our fear. We realized that God's child could not die, and without any specific treatment he very quickly gained strength and was soon the picture of health. It has been a great joy to bring relief to some who came to us for help. My heart goes out in love to those who are in slavery to the belief of a power opposed to God, and I long for them to know the power of Truth as revealed in the Bible through Christian Science. I feel there is only one way to express love and gratitude for all the blessings received in Science, and that is to follow the path mapped out for us by our Leader. God has given me the desire to do this. Truth alone is the healer, and it is only in so far as we clear our own thought of all that is unlike God that we can become true reflectors of the healing power.
