I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. For four or five years I was troubled with a stomach disorder which was getting worse every day, no matter what I ate. I tried medicines of various kinds, but none relieved me, and I used to walk my room for hours at night in pain. It ended in a serious illness. All that a doctor could do for me was done, but I got no better. I became so weak that I could scarcely get up and down stairs. Christian Science had been offered me, but I had refused it until I got into the terrible state of weakness mentioned; then, when it was again offered me, I accepted it. The first treatment was given late at night, and the next day I could scarcely realize that I was the same person, the relief from pain and distress was so great;and from that time I have been able to eat and drink anything put before me. Life is now quite different to me. Instead of dreading my meals and dreading bedtime, I eat heartily and sleep well.
In other ways I have benefited most wonderfully by Christian Science, for which I cannot express sufficiently my gratitude to God, and to Mrs. Eddy.
