It has long been my desire to express the deep gratitude which I feel for Christian Science, for not only did I regain my health thereby, but it has also brought me many other benefits. It is a blessing and a comfort in dark hours to read in the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Never, when suffering from pain and sorrow, has reading in this book failed to bring me healing and comfort.
In the year 1907-1908 I was so reduced physically that I went to our family physician, who in turn sent me to a specialist for internal diseases. The latter told me that I had an intestinal deformity, that the kidneys were in a diseased condition, and that an operation was absolutely necessary. I could not, however, make up my mind to undergo an operation, and I then heard of Christian Science through an acquaintance who is herself a Scientist and who asked me to go and see a practitioner here. After a short period of treatment I was free from all trouble, and for months have been again managing my household. I consider Christian Science to be the best physician in cases of physical suffering, and the true wayshower toward a better life. I am infinitely grateful to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
