I wish to give my testimony of healing, first in gratitude to God, then to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and also that it may be a cup of cold water in Christ's name to some one who thirsts for the truth. From my infancy the doctor said I was unhealthy, so I was given medicine till I reached the age of fourteen. Then I had a fever which left me in a critical condition. I was taking medical treatment almost constantly, and besides this I had treatment from two noted specialists, one treating me three months and the other for over a year. I was relieved of my suffering for a time; then I grew worse again, and was advised to undergo an operation. This I declined to do, but as time went on and other ailments set in, the doctors told me I could live but a short time without an operation.
I was making preparations to go to a hospital, when a lady asked me to try Christian Science. I replied that I had tried everything I had heard or read of, and I would try this, as I dreaded the operation. She loaned me her copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and in less than one month I was healed of the internal disease, also of a chronic bowel disorder, besides neuralgia and kidney trouble and a weak heart. In about two months more I was enabled to lay off glasses, and my eyes are stronger than they ever were. Later on I was healed of a throat disease from which I had suffered since childhood. I had been deaf in one ear for years, but my ear has been unstopped by the truth and my hearing is perfect.
All this was accomplished by reading Science and Health I have had treatment from practitioners at different times for severe headaches, which are passing into their native nothingness. My husband and I took up the study of Christian Science the last of November, 1905, and we have had many proofs of the allness and goodness of God.
