It is quite impossible for me adequately to express my gratitude to God for the numerous blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. I had been a great sufferer for fifteen years with stomach and heart trouble, while for six years prior to taking Christian Science treatment I had dropsy and nerve trouble, and was so very sick for two years that the doctors who were attending me finally said I could live only a short time because my heart was in such a bad condition.
It was at this critical point that my sister-in-law told me about Christian Science, and advised me to try it, believing it would help me. I knew nothing about this teaching, but I sent for a practitioner, who came at once, a distance of twenty miles. After the first treatment I was relieved cf all pain, while in five weeks I was completely healed and able to do my own housework, for I felt strong and well. I am indeed deeply thankful to God, also grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whose teachings so many are being helped, physically and morally.
As soon as I was healed, I had treatment for my son, fifteen years old, who had been very sickly from birth with lung and throat trouble. He was perfectly healed after about one month's treatment, and is now a strong young man. Both my son and myself are now endeavoring to prove our gratitude by living the truth as found in Christian Science, and we trust that this testimony may be influential in helping others.— Perth Amboy, N.
