About four years ago I received internal injuries from an accident on a street-car in Chicago. I was taken to a hospital, where I remained nine weeks, and was treated by five different doctors without receiving any help. One of these medical men was a Swedish doctor who was interested in Christian Science, as he had some friends who were Christian Scientists, to whom he introduced me. One of these, a lady, was very kind and treated me, so that in less than a fortnight I was completely healed of a very serious affection of the kidney, great nervousness, sleeplessness, and stomach trouble which was so severe that I could hardly partake of the lightest diet. I was also able to remove the special bandage which the doctors had told me I would have to use indefinitely. They had also said I would never be well again.
Before the accident, I had for years suffered from severe headaches and was advised by the doctor to go to an eye specialist. The latter prescribed glasses, but through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have been able to give up wearing them, and I now have perfect sight and no headaches.
I am very thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has brought us this great truth. I give this testimony with the hope that it may be of help to some one who reads it.— Chicago, Ill.
