I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. Nine years ago this truth was presented to me by a friend, and I decided to try it, as I had been a sufferer from stomach trouble practically all my life, and doctors could give me but temporary relief. After my first treatment I went home and ate a hearty supper, a thing which I had not been able to do for weeks. After a few treatments I was healed.
In the summer of 1916 I was taken with a severe attack of rheumatic fever and muscular rheumatism. All my joints were swollen and discolored, and for nearly two weeks I was unable to move even a finger; but with faithful and patient work on the part of the practitioner, this condition was met and overcome, and within three months I was walking out of doors enjoying the sunshine. In the fall of 1917 I had another slight attack, but it was overcome in a few treatments. I live on a farm, and am now doing my own work, feeling well, and thankful for all that I enjoy every day. Among other things which have been healed in our family are sore throat, sick headache, cataract, scarlet fever, and a skin disease.
