I would like to tell how much Christian Science has done for me. It healed me of a nervous affection of twenty years' standing. The attending physician said I was on the verge of insanity, and I was about to be placed in an asylum. But divine Love came to my rescue. My sister, who was a Christian Scientist, came to see me, and told me that Christian Science could and would help me. I found this true, for I was healed. A floating cartilage of the knee, which the physician said could not be cured, was healed also. I had been for two years so I could not lie on either side, but had to lie on my back all the time when lying down. My healing was almost instantaneous.
Since last November I have not seen a Christian Scientist and have called only once for help, when a discordant condition arose which I could not overcome alone. I received the needed help through a Christian Science practitioner. I have made a good many demonstrations, proving the goodness of God and the power of His saving truth, and that there is no other power but God alone. Progress has seemed very slow, yet the way is growing more clear step by step. I am thankful for what Truth has done for me. Words cannot express my gratitude for its healing power. I find in it a practical religion that meets my every need.
How thankful I am to Mrs. Eddy for the help and uplift she labored so hard and lovingly to give to the world, for her discovery of Christian Science, and her knowledge of God and His holy Scriptures that would lead all out of darkness and woe into the glorious light and liberty of the sons of God, into health, happiness, and the beauty of holiness.— Clearmont, Mo.
