For a number of years I have been proving that Christian Science does heal and that it is a protecting religion. The first proof of Truth's healing power was experienced at a time of great need, spiritual, physical, and financial. It was then that
I was led (moat wonderfully, so it seemed to me) to the home of a Christian Scientist. I did not know that the family were Scientists, but soon learned that the father, mother, grandmother, and four children were students of this beautiful truth. In a short time I was invited to join them in the reading of the Lesson-Sermon each evening, also asked to read Science and Health, which! did as I had the opportunity.
Although had read the book on two other occasions during my life of invalidism and thought it beautiful, the spiritual awakening did not come to me until after the third reading. In two weeks I returned to the town where I was then mailing my home with my sister and niece, and was able to tell them with great joy and gratitude that Christian Science had healed me of stomach, liver, and bowel trouble, also of neuralgia and other ills from which they knew I had suffered my whole life with no hope from physicians of ever being well. Just ten months after my recovery my sister's healing began, and now her daughter is an earnest student of Christian Science. We know our first healing is only the beginning of our acquaintance with God, good, and each day more of good is realized if we are faithful in our study and application of the truth.
