I wish to add my testimony to the wonderful benefits I have received through the study of Christian Science. About eighteen years ago I was visiting in a home of Christian Scientists and had my first glimpse of the truth; I was healed in a few hours of a bad sprain and bruises received in a fall down a flight of stairs. It seemed wonderful at the time, but like many I was not ready to accept it. Seven years ago I contracted malaria with all its attending ills, then pyorrhea set in, a bowel trouble of many years' standing became aggravated, I was put on a diet for four months, and saw the doctor and dentist every few days. Consequently, I lost much time from my business. In the course of work I met a practitioner and she told me of the help I would receive in Christian Science. The dentist gave me no hope and the doctor very little. The memory of my former healings came to me several times, so I went to my friend for help and the healing was almost instantaneous. This was six years ago. The ulceration of my teeth, the bowel trouble, and malaria vanished into nothingness in a few days, and best of all—I had found God.
At the same time a little dog that I have was healed of mange and has never had any medicine since, whereas before I was always giving him something. Since then many physical ills have been quickly met. I am trying daily to have my life reflect more of Truth and Love and I know now that God will sustain me in all ways. A sense of His omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience is my most precious possession. Gratitude for the better outlook, the growing realization of true substance, the loving help received, church membership, for our literature, and for all Mrs. Eddy has done to make our path easier, is beyond words to express.— Warrensburg, N.
