Words indeed fail to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It is nearly four years since I took it up, not for physical healing, but because I was not satisfied with what I had, and I am indeed grateful to be able to say I have found more than I ever expected to, for I have indeed found the pearl of great price, which has brought harmony of mind, peace, and the healing of a discontented life. Among the physical benefits are the healing of a bunion of over twenty years' standing, headache, colds, the effects of a nail in my foot—a healing most wonderful to me—influenza, in a few hours, stomach trouble, and many other discords, including gallstones, which six doctors had told me I could only be cured of through an operation. It took three years before it was completely overcome, but in the last year it has entirely disappeared. I can say that each time I had this difficulty it was met by the kind work of practitioners, for which I am indeed grateful. In the last year I have been able to meet each and every problem that has presented itself, so I feel that I am gaining some knowledge of the truth.
I am also very grateful for the literature, especially the Sentinel, as it was in it that I really found my first help. I also am most grateful for The Christian Science Monitor for the help it gives me each day. I am grateful that Christian Science has taught me how to pray without ceasing,—that is my biggest comfort, for no matter how humble my task may be I can pray without ceasing. It is helping me each day to love my neighbor more and more. For all that Christian Science has done for me and mine I am indeed very grateful, grateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy, His messenger to this age.—Phoenix, Ariz.
