For twelve years it has been my privilege to witness the healing of disease through Christian Science. The effect of the scientific application of the understanding of Principle in the treatment of bodily ills no longer seems miraculous, and while I am deeply grateful for what I have seen in this direction I am most grateful for what I know of the power of divine Mind in human affairs.
Through Christian Science alone I am enjoying health and the peace of a happy home. I have been healed of the fear of sin and the fear of death. Through the various channels afforded seekers of Truth in this Science I have been healed of both the malicious and ignorant domination of human will and given the freedom to think for myself. The problem of human relationship in its many and ofttimes grievous complexities has been solved for me through earnest study. Instead of being in a condition of utmost misery and confusion and sin I am rejoicing to-day in a spiritual perception of "beauty, grandeur, order" (Hymnal, No. 237). During a time of extreme mental stress and disturbance Christian Science literature has been of untold benefit to me. It would be impossible to express what the daily, weekly, and monthly message of our periodicals has meant in healing to me. Often a weakening faith and overwhelming helplessness, in the face of events, have been banished and replaced by strength through the simple perusal of a metaphysical article in The Christian Science Monitor.
Through the constant study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, together with all the periodicals, the wise provision of our beloved Leader, I have demonstrated my right to healthy, constructive living. I am especially grateful for the Monitor during the past year. It has taught me to think for myself fearlessly without regard to human opinion, which is to me the greatest healing of all.
