I had thought I did not believe in Christian Science, but when I took it up, over four years ago, it was the last hope. I did not want any one to see me go into the practitioner's office, and it seemed as though they would never open the door so that I could get out of sight, but the next day when I went I wanted everybody to ask me where I was going. I had suffered for over eighteen years from rheumatism and kept morphine in the house all the time, which I would take when the pain became too severe, but then I would feel so cross that it seemed everything was wrong.
The first Christian Science treatment convinced me that it is the truth. I had not had the use of my left arm for several years, yet within a week I could comb my hair and dress myself, and am so thankful. I have also been healed of headache and constipation, and have had no return. It is so good to know the truth and that the truth makes free. I am writing this testimony with a heart overflowing with gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy, who has made the teachings of Jesus practical, proving that the works that he did we can do also.— Sheldon, Ill.
