I have been in Science over six years and I would like to give my experience so that some one may benefit thereby. To begin with, all my bad habits—the use of profane language, drinking, and even the desire for tobacco, which I had told my wife nothing could make me give up—left me. I just put my pipe away one morning after breakfast and have never used tobacco in any form since. I failed in business and afterwards worked hard at work I was not used to", and I found that divine Love always gave me strength and encouragement. One day I became quite sick, I could not eat and the thought came to me that I was in for another case of tonsillitis. I at once telephoned a practitioner, and declared the truth until I went to sleep. I slept in a very cold cabin with only a screen door and it was a cold foggy night. In the morning I got up, ate a good breakfast, worked hard all day, and by night felt fine. No mere words can express my gratitude, but I am trying to live my thanks to God by striving for more understanding. I have had a number of other demonstrations and am most thankful to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way to a real understanding of divine Principle, God.—W. R. Helbling, Whittier, Calif.
