I wish to tell of some of the many blessings I have received since coming into Christian Science. When Science was lovingly brought to my attention I was apparently a mental and physical wreck. I was seemingly a victim of many so-called organic and functional disorders, some of which under medical treatment were thought to require surgery, and some were supposed to be incurable. My first healing took place very quickly, proving to me that I had at last found the true fount of healing. All of the other ills have been slow to yield, but for this I am truly grateful, for otherwise I might not have gained even as soon spiritual understanding, which is more to be desired than all else.
I have been able to overcome the claim of fear in many different forms, also the claim of limitation, mental and physical and financial. I have learned to understand and know that God is a wise and loving Father to be served in the spirit of love, and not through fear. I am learning through the study of the Lesson-Sermons to understand and love the Bible, whereas before it seemed a sealed book to me. I had many mental errors to overcome, for when I truly desired to do good, evil seemed ever with me. Since coming into Science I have read almost nothing but Science and Health and other Christian Science literature and find it more satisfying than anything else I ever read. Words cannot express the gratitude that fills my heart for Christian Science and for all it has done and is doing for me and many others. I am thankful to the heavenly Father, God, to Christ Jesus the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." and for all the literature which she so lovingly provided for us; also for all the help and encouragement I have received from practitioners and other Scientists. My greatest desire is to learn steadily more of the truth which heals, and to have more of that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."— Newport News, Va.
