Realizing that it is the duty of every Christian Scientist as well as a privilege to express our thankfulness for the many blessings bestowed upon us by the wonderful truth as given to us through Mrs. Eddy's "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I wish to give my testimony of healing, hoping thereby to help others.
My first healing came to me about twelve years ago. When three years of age I had scarlet fever and one of the things it left me with was a running ear which was very painful and unpleasant. This was healed in a few treatments, and glasses which the oculists said I should always have to wear were removed at the same time through this help. I was instantaneously healed of a badly sprained ankle. I have been healed of kidney and stomach trouble which gave me much annoyance and pain. Headaches, colds, and sore throat have been healed many times through Christian Science treatment. I am grateful for all these physical healings, but most of all I am grateful for the different and happier outlook upon life as a whole which the study and application of Christian Science has given me. I feel it a privilege to be a member of our local church and of The Mother Church, which are a source of strength and help to me always. My earnest desire is that I may be worthy to be called a Christian Scientist, that others may see and want that which I have, the truth that makes us free.— Bishop, California.
