Testimonies of Healing

For some time I have felt I should...

From the March 1921 issue of The Christian Science Journal

For some time I have felt I should bring my tithe to the storehouse, but words are inadequate to express my gratitude for all Christian Science has meant and still means to us. My first help was received six years ago when a little daughter came to our home. The birth was attended with very little pain. In two and one-half years another child came, a boy this time. The birth was absolutely painless. To a mother of six, words cannot express what this means—the difference between the old way under a physician's care and the new way, with God as the only Physician, is so great.

Our son ten years old had a very severe accident. He fell from a straw stack, splintering and bruising his knee, resulting in white swelling. We called up a practitioner and had treatment for him. He suffered very little and in seven weeks could run and play as usual, although some of the neighbors said he would be a cripple for life. God's law was proved to be the only law governing, and to-day the child does not even limp. The healing was perfect. I could write for hours of the blessings that are ours since commencing to see the light through Christian Science, but space forbids. I will only add that my gratitude grows daily and hourly for the happiness that was made possible by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

The Journal, the Sentinel, and the Monitor are invaluable; I would rather be without bread than be without them.—
