For me to try to express my gratitude...

From the February 1923 issue of The Christian Science Journal

For me to try to express my gratitude for my knowledge of Christian Science, in words, would be like trying to write the word "gratitude" as many times as I am capable of thinking it. Christian Science is to me like arithmetic in that I study it to use it, and do not expect to get any benefit from my study if I fail to apply what I learn. I have relied on this Science in every problem that has come to me for some years, and have not found it wanting.

I dislocated my elbow in 1919, and relied entirely upon Christian Science for the setting and healing; and I was able to crank an automobile with the arm in four days after the accident. I was healed, in one treatment, of Spanish influenza, the first year it appeared; and I have been healed of the tendency to take cold.

These are only a few of the tests I have placed on Mrs. Eddy's discovery; and they have proved to me beyond argument that in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," she has set forth the exact Science by which Jesus performed his miracles. It is many years since I used any material remedy or medicine for sickness. In each case Christian Science has been a quick and efficient healer.
