I too wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. From the first year of my life I suffered from asthma, which grew worse yearly. When I was six years old, the trouble reached its climax. In addition, I became the victim of a terrible cough. When the resources of the doctors here proved of no avail to heal the sickness, a doctor at Herford was recommended to us. We went to see him every day, but his medicine did not help either. I was, therefore, compelled to stay in a hospital, where I received an injection into the lungs. That seemed to help, for I felt relieved for many years.
When I was fourteen, the same trouble appeared again. I could not walk quickly without feeling pain in the side and being short of breath. In order to curb the disease we were again compelled to consult a doctor. He made injections in the arm, but there was no change for either better or worse. My attention was then drawn to Christian Science by a dear acquaintance. I placed my whole trust in God; and read the Bible faithfully. After attending two Christian Science services, I felt a great improvement. Now I am entirely free from the trouble, and am grateful to Christian Science for this healing. I am glad I have chosen this way. My parents, too, have received many blessings through Christian Science, and we desire very much to continue the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.— Bielefeld, Germany.
