It is with a heart full of gratitude...

It is with a heart full of gratitude and love that I write of a demonstration of the protecting power of divine Mind which was made in our home. On Saturday morning, the twenty-ninth of October, my little twelve-year-old daughter came to me with a very sore throat. I immediately tried to know the truth; but when, the same morning, I was told that a little neighbor boy, who lived in our block, had diphtheria, I started treatment for her in earnest. I worked in Science until midnight. When I took her food to her, I thought of how Jesus raised the little twelve-year-old girl, and commanded that something should be given her to eat. By Monday my daughter was up and dressed for school. I telephoned the principal, however, and she advised me to keep her at home for a few days. I also informed the Board of Health on the following Wednesday, and they sent out to take her so-called throat culture. On Thursday they made the report that they had found diphtheria germs, and advised me to see a physician at once about giving her antitoxin. Now at the time, this same little girl was up, dressed, playing, and helping me with the housework. Five days later, according to their rules, she went down to let them make their test. They reported her well, and called up her school, over the telephone, in order that she should be admitted.
