I wish to express my gratitude for the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. For more than twenty years I was afflicted with what doctors call choroiditis. I was unable to use my eyes either to read or to sew, and could not endure the light without dark smoked glasses. While I was under Christian Science treatment, and after I had become aware of the marked improvement in my sight, it occurred to me to call upon the oculist under whose care I had been for so many years, and learn what he would say. After examining my eyes, he said that the scar across one side of my sight had contracted, and that I was seeing better. He asked me what I was doing, and I told him that I was having Christian Science treatment. Whereupon he replied, "Whatever you are doing, continue to do." This healing took place seven years ago, and I am happy to say that my sight continues normal.
I have been healed of a very severe case of neuritis; also of a growth in my breast, for which the physician who made the diagnosis advised an immediate operation. It was at this crisis that I turned to Christian Science and found my first healing.
I have had the privilege of class instruction, and of active work in the Sunday school. I have every reason to "rejoice, and be exceeding glad." I am grateful for this religion, which teaches us that God is Love, always present and the only power, the eternally operating divine Principle, maintaining its idea, man.— Cleveland, Ohio.
