I am most grateful for Christian Science,—for all that it has done and is daily doing for me. When it was offered to me I was in great distress. I was an invalid, and had been treated by ten physicians. One of them told me I should have to go to another climate. To this my husband consented; and we were sent to Nevada with our family. After we had been there seven weeks the doctors told my husband to take me home as soon as possible, for I could not stand that climate. We came back home; and my last doctor said I should have to go South.
It was then I was told by a Christian Scientist that I did not need to go South or West to find God, as He is here. Some copies of the Sentinel were given me at the same time. I read them, and then read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was healed of Bright's disease and every physical ailment that goes with it. After ten weeks I was able to walk quite a distance; and in four months I was able to do all my own housework. I also laid away glasses, which I had not been without for twenty years.
This was eight years ago; and I am indeed grateful to give this testimony; also grateful for the protection Christian Science gives to my children. They have been healed of measles, influenza, appendicitis, and many other inharmonious conditions. I am more grateful than I can express in words for all these blessings, and that I am daily learning more about God and man's relationship to Him.—Harrisburg, Pa.
