It is with unbounded gratitude that I look back on the blessings that Christian Science has brought into my life. Twelve years ago I applied for help for intense nervousness and insomnia; and the first night I slept like a babe. This made a deep impression on those near me. I bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and began to read. The chapter on Prayer seemed to me the best thing I had ever read on the subject; and never since have I found anything like it. I was a member of a Congregational church, and had always received great help; but I saw and was willing to acknowledge from the first that this was the fuller message, the undivided garment. Since then I have been sustained in deep sorrow and loss, and lack has always been met.
I am now a member of a branch church and enjoying all its activities. I am very glad that my nine-year-old son has the privilege of attending the Sunday school. He also has had some beautiful demonstrations. My thought goes out in gratitude for the patient and loving help of the practitioners; also to all who have helped me gain a better understanding. The periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor, are all wise provisions of our dear Leader.—Haverhill, Mass.
