It is with a heart full of gratitude that I take this occasion to testify to what Christian Science has done for me. From my earliest recollection I had been troubled with constipation; and as I grew older hemorrhoids developed. For many years I had taken drugs daily to alleviate these conditions. Also, when about sixteen years of age I began to be troubled with what the doctors called nervous dyspepsia, from which I suffered for many years, being unable to eat many articles of food. Finally, nearly five years ago, as the doctor who had attended me for nearly six months had failed to find any remedy that would give me relief, I turned to Christian Science. In a very few days I threw away all my medicines, and since that day have not taken drugs of any kind. I am happy to be able to say that I was healed of those difficulties. When I faithfully apply the truths of Christian Science I can eat anything that is set before me.
Many other ills have been overcome,—in one case through the help of a practitioner, but in other cases through reading and applying the truth myself. I have also been able to help the farm animals in several instances. I am deeply grateful to God; also to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and her other writings, and for the literature which The Christian Science Publishing Society is sending out.— Newport, Maine.
