When I came into Christian Science over ten years ago, I was on a strict diet, afraid to eat, on the verge of despair, and could not walk one block without suffering. The physician, who was kind and tender, could do nothing for me. At that time Christian Science met my need. After reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, just a few weeks, I was completely healed of all the error that had manifested itself physically and mentally.
I thank God I was led to investigate this demonstrable truth which our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, was divinely ordained of God to give to the world so clearly that all may understand it and put it into daily practice. I have been healed of numerous discordant conditions; namely, severe headaches, rheumatism, stomach trouble, the need of glasses, and constipation, —a condition of years' standing. These healings took place ten years ago, and I can truthfully say that there has been no return of the diseases from that day to this. I am grateful for the higher concept of God gained through the consecrated study of Christian Science; and my heartfelt gratitude goes out to our revered Leader for giving this great truth to the world,—the truth that God is Love and all-powerful, and can and does heal our diseases in proportion as we rely on His Word.
I am grateful for the many blessings that have come to me,—the freedom from wrong thinking, the happiness and joy that fill my life because of the knowledge of this truth. I am grateful for class instruction, and for all the activities of the Christian Science movement.— Montgomery, Alabama.
