After thirty years of suffering from what physicians named chronic catarrh of the stomach, I was completely healed through Christian Science in ten treatments.
I had been a member of an orthodox church since childhood, but had never learned about this truth that heals. What a beautiful thing it is to know that divine Love is ever present and that God's Word does heal when we trust Him! I had ceased to pray, as I felt that my prayers were not answered; but after coming into Christian Science I found I had asked amiss. There was nothing wrong with God; the wrong was with me. I prayed each evening for healing, but all the next day turned to or relied on material aid; and this was trying to serve two masters. It was also breaking the First Commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." When I was ready and willing to place my entire trust in Him, I was healed.
This healing took place ten years ago, and I am now in perfect health. I have had many other healings, one of the greatest being that of bad temper; and my experience proves the power of divine Mind over error. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church, and in a branch church. I am also grateful for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school, and to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful truth that does heal all mankind.— Canon City, Colorado
