GOD—MY CONFIDENCE

From the December 1926 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Hold Thou my hands, I will not fear to be
Where'er Thy perfect wisdom leadeth me.
E'en though the rushing torrent roars below,
Thou art my strength, I will not fear to go.

Lift Thou me up above the clouds of earth
To see Thy child, who knows nor death nor birth;
To know Thine image tender, strong, and pure,
And in this radiance to rest secure.
