With a desire to know more about God, I began the study of Christian Science. I am grateful for the purification of thought and the spiritual illumination which have come to me through our Leader's inspired writings; these alone have made possible the healings which I have experienced.
I can testify truly to the healing power of Christian Science. My healings have been of sick headaches, chronic sore throat, influenza, lumbago, heart trouble, and a sense of fear that tortured me for a number of years. Also there has been a healing of an organic trouble for which our family physician told me I should have an operation; but an earnest study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and the help and kindness of practitioners healed me entirely of this ailment. About four years ago I was instantly healed of paralysis through the truth voiced in the hymn beginning,
"Holy Father, Thou hast taught us
We should live to Thee alone."
