Christian Science came to me in a very lovely way. My husband, our baby, and I were homesteading several miles from town and neighbors when a great desire came to me to read the Bible. Having only a New Testament at hand, I read and reread the four Gospels for about three or four months. On coming to the city I knew that I wanted Christian Science, and I immediately looked up the church notices to find where the nearest Christian Science church held services. From the first time I attended the services I knew I had found the truth. I then sought a practitioner and procured a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began to study. I had never suffered from poor health, so I did not take up the study with any thought of physical healing; but from the beginning many wonderful healings were manifested, and I have learned something about God and our relation to Him. During the past seven years we have had healings of whooping cough, measles, blood poisoning, influenza, colds, and many other ailments; for which I am very grateful.
I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; also for class instruction. I am deeply grateful to the practitioner who has so lovingly helped me when I have been in great need, and to Mrs. Eddy for her patience in giving this wonderful truth to the world.— Seattle, Washington.
