Christian Science was recommended to me about nine years ago by a very dear friend, who was a Christian Scientist. This was after several eminent physicians had told me that the medical profession had nothing further to offer in my case, and after several years' treatment for stomach trouble and extreme nervousness.
I was very skeptical; but realizing that materia medica could not improve my condition, I decided to try Christian Science. And upon visiting a Christian Science practitioner,—one whom up to that time I had never seen,—I was instantaneously healed of the excessive use of tobacco, a habit which had been cultivated for many years. This healing was so complete that I have never had the least desire for tobacco since. Neither have I taken drugs, as the stomach trouble and other physical ailments have all been healed.
Since my first visit to this loving practitioner I have had many beautiful demonstrations of the omnipresence and omnipotence of God, when earnestly leaving my problems to His law. Among the many proofs of God's omnipotence demonstrated to me was protection in an automobile accident a few years ago, when both cars were completely demolished. Firmly knowing that even in the "valley of the shadow of death" Truth is always operative, I was removed from the wreckage without a scratch.
