I am a taxidermist and while at work in the laboratory of the Victoria National Museum some time ago, I wounded my hand severely with a poisonous knife. My chief and the artist of the museum were greatly alarmed and hurried me off to a doctor, assuring me that while Christian Science might be all right, this was not the time to experiment with it, as I would be risking my life if I did not at once have my hand attended to! Having experienced a great healing in Christian Science once before, I went to a Christian Science practitioner for help. Immediately after treatment the pain lessened, until it ceased. This occurred on a Saturday morning; and on Monday I returned to my post, to the great surprise of my associates. I was due to leave on a business trip in a few days after this experience, and the fear of blood poisoning was also destroyed for me so that I went away without fear.
Since my first healing, about twenty years ago, I have been a student of Christian Science, and am now a member of the church. I am increasingly grateful for Christian Science, and for what it is accomplishing in the world.—Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
