I wish to express my deep and sincere gratitude to God for revealing Christian Science to me, to mine, and to all who are willing to receive it. I have been healed of many diseases in the past eight years, such as a condition after pneumonia, diphtheritic throat trouble, chronic catarrh, periodical headaches, colds, night terrors, and many other ills unknown to me by name.
I am especially grateful for the following healing. In the fall of 1923 I seemed to be constantly suffering from a pain in the back of my head. I was studying and applying the truth, and the words from one of our hymns upheld me:
"I 'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause
thee to stand,
Upheld by My gracious, omnipotent hand.
....
"The flame shall not hurt thee; I only
design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to
refine."
