This testimony is in grateful acknowledgment of the great blessing Christian Science has been to me. I was healed of appendicitis through the study of Christian Science. A chronic condition had existed for several years, finally resulting in an acute attack, which seemed very severe. We lived in the Middle West, where there were very few students of Christian Science; and there was no available practitioner within several hundred miles. The difficulty was overcome within three days through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," written by Mary Baker Eddy. The Bible was also my constant study. Science and Health unlocked the spiritual meaning of the Scriptures to me, and gave me a clearer realization of God's allness and ever-presence.
I have since that time received many healings of many things, and have been more happy and useful than before I knew of Christian Science. I have had much help from practitioners, and have been a daily student of the Bible, and of Science and Health and Mrs. Eddy's other writings.
My first healing occurred over thirty years ago; and this fact proves Christian Science healing to be permanent. I have had no return of the trouble. I am thankful for the better understanding of God which Christian Science has given me and for a better knowledge of how to meet and solve daily problems.— Los Angeles, California.
