In humble gratitude I should like to tell of some of the many blessings I have received from Christian Science. I first heard of this Science in 1919, but it was not until the summer of 1924 that I was driven by mental and physical suffering to seek relief through it; and the strange part of it was that I knew all that time I had only to turn to Christian Science to be healed.
To me the most wonderful demonstration of God's loving care was that of an entirely painless childbirth in February, 1925. I felt no loss of strength. How could I when I realized that God is my strength and my support? All of the time before the child was born it seemed as if I could not let "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Christian Science textbook, out of my hands. And oh, how beautifully I was fed, for I was on the mountain top with God's everlasting arms around and about me!
Many other proofs that God is an ever present help have we experienced. Constipation with both the children and myself was healed; headaches vanished; jealousy was completely overcome; a bad temper is gradually losing its seeming power, and I am striving daily to learn patience; and, thanks to Christian Science, I am learning to love all mankind.
