I have been interested in Christian Science for over sixteen years, and during this time it has never failed to meet my every need when faithfully applied and strictly adhered to. I have seen many beautiful healings with myself and children, including painless childbirth, pneumonia, and many of the diseases children are subject to.
The healing I wish to speak of in particular is that of my son. He had been in another city working since his graduation from high school, and one day I received a special delivery letter from him, saying that he had a deeply settled cold and wished some help. I telegraphed at once to a practitioner, and was on the road to bring the boy home in less than two hours. After being at home a few days he grew gradually worse, and we felt it best to call a physician to diagnose the case. The first physician found pneumonia with complications, and said he could do nothing for him. We called another physician later, who found the lung more than half free; but he found also cerebro spinal meningitis, from which he said the boy would never recover. He continued to visit us, and at every visit he found the lungs more free; and while the boy approached very near to the "valley of the shadow," he recovered because of the faithful and loving work of the practitioner and our own clinging to the truth of being; and to-day he is able to work again.
This boy was also lifted up six years ago from the after effects of scarlet fever, for which a physician said there was no possible material help. Since this experience he has manifested splendid health and boundless activity.
